Advanced Rescue Training
Basic Safety Training
GWO BST training shall enable participants to support and care for themselves and others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge and skills of first aid, working at heights, manual handling, fire awareness, sea survival and in case of an emergency, to be able to evacuate, rescue and provide appropriate first aid to casualties. The GWO Basic Safety Training is divided into the following 5 modules: First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights and Sea Survival. Upon completion of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training (BST), participants will possess an awareness of the hazards encountered when working within the wind industry and how to control and mitigate these hazards. The BST will also equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to appropriately respond in the event of an emergency and to increase their safety through proper use of personal protective equipment, emergency equipment and procedures. The approved GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) provides participants with important skills, which include fire awareness, first aid, working at heights, and manual handling. To enable participants to work in the offshore environment, an additional GWO Sea Survival Module training shall be completed.
Basic Safety Training Refresher
The aim of BSTR is to review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills from BST through theoretical and practical training. The GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher is divided into the following 5 modules: (1) First Aid Refresher: The aim of this BSTR First Aid Module is to refresh the participants prior experiences, knowledge, skills, and abilities to enable participants to recognise signs and symptoms of life threating situations and administer safe and effective first aid in the wind turbine industry/WTG environment in order to save lives, preventing further illness or injury, until the casualty can be handed over to the next level of care in case of an incident in the wind turbine industry/WTG environment. (2) Manual Handling Refresher : Delivery of the Manual Handling Refresher Module covers same content, duration, learning objectives as described in BST Manual Handling. (3) Fire Awareness Refresher: Delivery of the Fire Awareness Refresher Module covers same content, duration, learning objectives as described in BST Fire Awareness. (4) Working at Heights Refresher: The aim of this BSTR Working at Heights Module is to review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training so that participants can use basic personal protective equipment and perform safe work at heights and safe and comprehensive basic rescue from heights in the wind turbine industry/ WTG environment. (5) Sea Survival Refresher Upon completion of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training Refresher (BSTR) participants will possess an awareness of the hazards encountered when working within the wind industry and how to control and mitigate these hazards. The BSTR will also equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to appropriately respond in the event of an emergency and to increase their safety through proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), emergency equipment and procedures.
Basic Technical Training
The Global Wind Organisation Basic Technical Training Standard consists of three modules and an additional installation module which can be taken after certification in the mechanical module. The GWO Basic Technical Training is divided into the following four modules: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics. Upon completion of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Technical Training (BTT), participants will possess an awareness of the hazards encountered when working on hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and installation systems, and how to control and mitigate these hazards, preparing candidates for working both on and offshore in the wind power industry.
Enhanced First Aid
The EFA Training shall enable participants to support and care for others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge, skills, and ability of enhanced first aid. Upon completion of the GWO EFA training, participants will be able to administer safe, effective, and immediate lifesaving and enhanced first aid measures to save lives and give assistance in remote areas using advanced emergency equipment and medical teleconsultation.
Lift User
The aim of GWO Lift User Module training is to enable the participant to use a lift in a WTG correctly. The training will provide the participant knowledge of multiple guiding systems and lift types in WTG. Furthermore, the participant will learn to perform the necessary pre-use inspections and emergency actions – and when needed take guidance in relevant manuals. The overall learning objective is that the participants can on their own take responsibility for using a WTG lift correctly and safely and will on their own initiative seek guidance when needed (Ability, basic level).
Mobile Training
Mobile Training / On-site Training deliver GWO BST Manual Handling, Fire Awareness , First Aid training. TIWTC is able to send GWO qualified instructors to your designated site and provide the training by your request. Which saving you the expense of transportation and accommodation during the training period. The maximum number of participants in the mobile module course is 12, please contact us for details by mail.
Slinger Signaller
This course aims to provide a basic understanding of lifting operations to our delegates, and they are able to identify the common hazards related to lifting operations and conduct the duty of being a slinger signaller safely. The two days training of GWO Slinger Signaller covers both theoretical and practical elements: Trainer will introduce basic hand signals, including CNS/ OSHA/BS7121 hand signals.  Identify and apply common lifting accessories such as shackles, slings...etc. Introduce basic principles of lifting operations. In practical tasks, it includes how to attach and de-attach loads safely and directing loads to designated area.
Wind Limited Access
GWO Wind Limited Access Standard has been developed to provide a minimum viable safety training for infrequent visitors to onshore and offshore wind turbine environments when supervised by at least two experienced GWO BST qualified persons.
